A conversation stays on its channel

Sending depends on a connected provider, client permission and channel reply rules. A queued reply is not proof of delivery.

How to use it

  1. Open Inbox or Conversations and choose the client's conversation. Read the recent context before responding.
  2. Review the conversation's status, any linked appointment, and whether the assistant or your team is handling the next step.
  3. Check Connected channels and the client's contact route. When your Dino booking address is active, eligible client email replies can appear in Inbox. Existing mail in your personal mailbox is not imported; check that mailbox separately.
  4. After sending or scheduling, check the visible status and any error. Follow up through an agreed channel if delivery is uncertain.

What to know first

  • Live SMS and email depend on configured providers, account readiness, consent, and delivery conditions. Completing setup alone does not prove that messages are reaching clients.
  • Sending can involve provider charges. Check the current account terms and provider costs; SMS should not be assumed free.
  • A message being queued or accepted by an email provider is different from confirmed inbox delivery. Respect client opt-outs and communication preferences.
  • A Dino booking address needs verified receiving and sending before replies route to Inbox. Creating an address does not import your existing personal email, and fallback replies may still go to your personal mailbox when Dino booking email is not ready.
  • A web-chat conversation cannot receive an external reply through Inbox. Use an appropriate phone or email contact route instead of assuming that replying there reaches the client.

How it connects

Conversations provide context for appointments and client history. When Dino booking email is active, new eligible emails use the dedicated reply address and matching replies return to Dino Inbox. Existing mail in personal accounts stays there. Reminder settings do not replace the appointment's current status.

A useful habit

For a new connection, confirm a permitted test arrives before relying on it for real appointments.

Common questions

Are SMS messages and verification free?

Do not assume SMS is free. Sending depends on a configured provider and can incur provider charges or other account costs. Check the current communication setup and terms. Help articles do not establish free SMS or phone-verification service.

Does a queued message mean the client received it?

No. Queued, sent, and delivered are different states. Check the available conversation or provider status and any error. An email provider accepting a send does not prove inbox delivery. Replies to client confirmations, receipts, reminders, marketing, and manual emails go to the responsible business account email inbox; they are not imported into Dino Inbox. Check a permitted test before relying on a new connection.
